Get on the water with Marist Dragons!

​

Is dragon boating your new sport? Check out this great activity for all ages FREE by coming to a few paddling sessions. Marist Dragons is a community club that paddles out from Woolwich for two-hour training sessions on Saturday mornings and Tuesday evenings. Have fun, make friends and enjoy one of Sydney’s loveliest waterways, watching the houses and bushland of Woolwich, Hunters Hill, Greenwich and Longueville slip by.

 

Now is a great time to pick up a sport that’s all about fun and fitness. Best of all, with Marist Dragons you can try it for a month at no cost. We’re sure that after a few training sessions you’ll want to become a permanent member.

 

Dragon boating is ideal for all ages and standards of fitness – a team sport that gives you a full workout, building core strength and aerobic fitness. With Marist Dragons, you can be competitive (we enter various regattas through the year) or just there to “splash and dash”. Age is no barrier: many of our members are in their fifties and sixties. The club provides all the equipment. Just wear comfortable clothes and shoes and bring a water bottle, cap and sunglasses. Sessions are supervised by a qualified coach and sweep.

 

Never tried dragon boating before? No problem! You’ll soon pick up the basics and the coach will help improve your technique on the water.
